HKUST Blue Bay Incubation Port

HKUST's Shenzhen incubation platform, founded in 2016 and based in the Hetao Shenzhen–Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone. It runs a full-stage incubation system from proof-of-concept through to scale-up, and has incubated 223 projects to date.

Guangzhou HKUST Fok Ying Tung Research Institute

Founded in 2007 in Nansha, the institute is the bridge between original research and commercial technology. Its work spans advanced materials, environmental technology and smart manufacturing, covering the full chain from technology to product, industrialisation and capital.

HKUST Foshan Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute

Focused on smart manufacturing, with research spanning Industry 4.0, smart sensors and automated optical inspection, 3D printing and rapid prototyping, and industrial data analytics. It runs the Foshan-HKUST Projects programme and the Foshan region of the HKUST-Sino One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition.

HKUST Shanghai Center

HKUST's first industry-academia base in the Yangtze River Delta, opened in Xuhui, Shanghai in 2025. Through its "one centre, two bases" model it focuses on industry-academia talent cultivation and innovation incubation, and hosts HKUST-InnoBay@Shanghai — InnoBay's first off-campus branch.
